“Remarks by Tony Blair”
In addition to serving as Prime Minister, Tony Blair served as the leader of Britain’s Labour Party from 1994 to 2007. He was also the Member of Parliament for Sedgefield, England, from 1983 to 2007. He continues to be active in public life and is currently working for the USA, UN, Russia and EU as the Quartet Representative to help the Palestinians prepare for statehood as part of the international community’s effort to secure peace. Blair has also launched the Tony Blair Faith Foundation to promote respect and understanding of and between the major religions. Blair’s memoir, A Journey: My Political Life, was released in September 2010 and made The New York Times Best Sellers list within a week of its release.
