Thomas Friedman, author of The World is Flat, and The Lexus and the Olive Tree, studied as an undergraduate at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the American University in Cairo and completed his master’s degree at Oxford University. In 1995 Friedman became The New York Times Foreign Affairs Columnist. In 2002 he was awarded his third Pulitzer Prize, and in 2004 he also was awarded the Overseas Press Club Award for Lifetime Achievement.
