George Will and Susan Packard to round out series STILLWATER, Okla. - Bestselling author and New York Times foreign affairs columnist Thomas Friedman headlines the roster of exciting speakers for the 2008-2009 Executive Management Briefings series. The Executive Management Briefings feature international business and political leaders, authors and policymakers who bring critical and timely information to the Oklahoma business community. The series is sponsored by the Spears School of Business and its corporate partners and coordinated by the Center for Executive and Professional Development at Oklahoma State University. The 2008-2009 series debuts September 10, 2008, from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Cox Convention Center with a presentation by Friedman titled “Hot, Flat and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution.” Friedman is the author of The World is Flat and The Lexus and the Olive Tree. He brings a fresh outlook to the crises of destabilizing climate change and rising competition for energy in the global future and has helped millions of readers to see globalization in a new way. Other speakers in the series include George Will, author and columnist for The Washington Post, and Susan Packard, cofounder and president of brand outreach for HGTV. Will’s presentation titled “The Political Argument Today” will be held December 4, 2008, shortly after the U.S. presidential election. Packard will be the final speaker in the series on March 24, 2009.
